May 2019...

We are both in our gym at Georgia College getting our workouts in when we first make eye contact. Cash asks his friend, Matthew, "Who is that?" to which Matthew replies, “Oh, that's Hollins Cobb". Immediately, Cash recalled his Aunt Mary and Uncle Lawton telling him to find this “Hollins” at school. Mary and Lawton had known the Cobb family for years through church and life in Athens. Hollins had also grown up dancing with two of Cash's cousins, Grace and Maggie.

While leaving the gym, Cash notices Hollins and her friend, Neely, walking out as well. They were just a few steps in front of Cash and Matthew. Cash looks at Matthew and says “Screw it! I gotta talk to her".

Cash calls out Hollins' name and quickly updates her on all these facts about how their families actually know each other. Hollins then runs home to her friends, and tells them about the CUTEST baseball boy who found her at the gym.

Fall 2019...

We're back to school and Cash starts asking Hollins to go on dates with him. Hollins starts asking Cash on her sorority date nights… As time (and a whole lot of baseball) went on, we began to fall in love.

Covid hit and we were determined to make sure our relationship could withstand the distance between us. A lot of the time, Cash made the drive to Athens from Atlanta to sit in the Kohl's parking lot across the street from Hollins' neighborhood. From car window to car window, he would throw the hand sanitizer bottle to Hollins. We would sit and talk for hours, just for Cash to turn around and drive back to ATL.

After one more year at GA College, followed by two years of long distance between Athens, North Carolina, Milledgeville, Atlanta and Boston, we continued to fall even more in love and, simply put, become each other’s best “buddies”.

We are so excited to celebrate our love with all of you on June 7th!!
